REDNESS & ROSACEA

Rosacea is a chronic inflammatory skin condition that affects over three million Canadians.

The first sign may be intermittent redness or blushing. Over time, the redness may become persistent and more visible.

The most common sites for symptoms are the cheeks, nose, chin and forehead. Sometimes rosacea may involve the eyes as well and include symptoms such as bloodshot eyes that feel gritty. More than half of rosacea sufferers may experience eye symptoms.

Bumps, tiny pus-filled pimples and enlarged blood vessels can also appear, giving skin a rough, uneven appearance. Rosacea symptoms can vary from one person to another and severity is unpredictable. It is more commonly found in people with lighter skin.

Common triggers include genetics, hormonal changes, emotional distress, ultraviolet exposure, extreme weather conditions, environmental factors or lifestyle choices.

PURE LIGHT G – controlled wavelengths of green light stimulate photoreceptors in dermal layers by directly targeting melanocytes: melanin-producing cells located in the epidermal layers. The rise of melanin to the skin surface is prevented by breaking down the melanin deposits in the epidermis. In addition, melanin production and tyrosine activity are minimized, resulting in visible improvement in the appearance of existing discoloration.

PURE LIGHT G can be combined with other procedures, including microdermabrasion and chemical peels – for gentle skin resurfacing and transdermal delivery – for optimum penetration of active ingredients.

Treatment Indications:
Hyperpigmentation, freckles, melasma, discoloration, uneven skin tone, sun damage and sun or age spots.

Treatment Protocol:
Requires a minimum of 6-8 consecutive treatment sessions, 1-3 times per month. Monthly maintenance sessions are recommended.

Elos Plus technology uses optical energy (intense pulsed light and near-infrared light), and bipolar radiofrequency optimally combined in each pulse and delivered to target tissue to ensure safe and effective treatment outcome.

Pre-heating the area with optical energy allows the radiofrequency to penetrate deeper into the skin’s dermal layers without causing injury to the epidermis.

Elos Plus uses an integrated contact cooling system for enhanced patient tolerance.

GentleMax Pro has been established as cutting-edge technology from Syneron-Candela, a leading manufacturer in non-invasive aesthetic procedures.

Candela GentleMax Pro for redness and rosacea can treat the redness leaving skin bright and even.

GentleMax Pro can also treat skin conditions that cause redness or flushing of the skin, rosacea is the most of these skin conditions. GentleMax laser therapy treats the underlying cause reducing symptoms and helping sufferers manage.

How does it work?

Redness and rosacea occur when the tiny blood vessels in the skin dilate and remain dilated. The Candela GentleMax Pro laser targets the dilated vessels causing them to contract, and breakdown. The redness then dissipates and skin is left with increased clarity and balance.

A cryogen cooling system is integrated for enhanced patient tolerance.

Treatment Protocol:
A minimum of 6 consecutive treatment sessions, 4-6 weeks apart, are required. Maintenance treatments are recommended.
