ClearSkin with Nordlys
IPL (intense pulse light)

Transform your skin with Nordlys IPL! Achieve clear, even-toned, and radiant skin as we target pigmentation, calm rosacea, and reduce acne with precision and lasting results. Your journey to flawless skin starts here!

The Nordlys IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) laser treatment is an advanced, non-invasive skin rejuvenation technology designed to target specific skin concerns like pigmentation, rosacea, acne, and uneven skin tone. It works by delivering controlled light pulses to the skin, stimulating natural healing and collagen production for long-lasting results.

Evens Skin Tone: Reduces pigmentation, sunspots, and redness.

Reduces Rosacea: Calms inflammation and visible blood vessels.

Improves Acne: Targets acne-causing bacteria and minimizes breakouts.

Stimulates Collagen: Promotes skin elasticity and firmness.

Quick & Comfortable: Non-invasive treatment with minimal downtime.

The Nordlys system uses precise, light-based energy to target skin imperfections:

1. Pigmentation: The light energy is absorbed by melanin in dark spots, breaking it down into smaller particles that are naturally eliminated by the body.

2. Rosacea: The light targets dilated blood vessels, reducing redness and flushing by collapsing the vessels and promoting skin healing.

3. Acne: The IPL reduces acne by destroying bacteria (P. acnes) and reducing sebaceous gland activity to prevent future breakouts.

This treatment is suitable for most skin types, particularly those with:

  •  Sun damage, age spots, or hyperpigmentation

  • Rosacea or facial redness

  • Mild to moderate acne

  • Enlarged pores or uneven skin texture

  • A desire for brighter, smoother, and more youthful-looking skin

  • Note: It may not be suitable for darker skin tones or tanned skin due to the risk of pigmentation changes.

Pigmentation: 3-5 sessions spaced 4 weeks apart.

Rosacea: 4-6 sessions spaced 3-4 weeks apart for noticeable improvements.

Acne: 4-6 sessions spaced 2-4 weeks apart to manage active breakouts and prevent future ones.

Immediate Effects: Skin may appear slightly red or swollen, which subsides within a few hours.

Pigmentation: Dark spots may initially darken before flaking off in 7-10 days.

Rosacea: Redness may reduce after each session, with gradual improvement.

Acne: Breakouts may temporarily worsen before clearing up.

Pre-Treatment Care:

1. Sun Exposure: Avoid direct sun exposure and tanning beds for at least 4 weeks before treatment. Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher daily to protect your skin.

2. Skincare Products: Discontinue the use of retinoids, alpha or beta hydroxy acids, and other exfoliating agents 5-7 days prior to treatment.

3. Medications: Inform your provider about any medications or supplements you’re taking, especially those that increase photosensitivity.

4. Skin Preparation: Arrive with clean skin, free of makeup, lotions, or creams.

5. Medical History: Disclose any history of cold sores or herpes simplex virus; antiviral prophylaxis may be recommended.

Post-Treatment Care:

1. Sun Protection: Your skin will be particularly sensitive to UV light after treatment. Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen of at least SPF 30 daily for 30 days post-treatment. Avoid direct sun exposure and wear protective clothing when outdoors.

2. Skin Care: Use gentle cleansers and moisturizers. Avoid hot water, saunas, and vigorous rubbing of the treated area for 2-3 days.

3. Avoid Irritants: Refrain from using retinoids, alpha or beta hydroxy acids, vitamin C products, and exfoliating scrubs for one week post-treatment.

4. Makeup: If the skin is not broken, mineral-based makeup can be applied immediately after treatment.

5. Monitor Side Effects: Mild redness and a sunburn-like sensation are common and typically resolve within a few hours to days. Pigmented areas may darken and flake off over several days. Avoid picking or scratching the treated areas.

6. Follow-Up Treatments: Adhere to the recommended treatment schedule provided by your practitioner to achieve optimal results.

  •  Schedule maintenance sessions every 6-12 months.

  • Follow a consistent skincare routine with sunscreen, antioxidants, and gentle cleansers.

  • Avoid prolonged sun exposure and use sun protection daily.
